To help with your planning of events for the rest of the year we can announce today that the 7th New Forest Deffies Rally in Cadnam, near Lyndhurst , Hampshire, will be on Friday 21st Saturday 22nd and Sunday 23rd August 2020. This does of course rely 100% on Boris lifting a bit of the present rule “You can go visiting, but you must GO HOME overnight” and there appears to be a social distancing element still to be dealt with.
This will now leave September free for your extended trips, normal format of relaxing and taking advantage of walks across the Forest from the gate, secure off road parking.
Sheep and Horse friendly dogs welcome. We have mains water, but no mains electricity and only grass field pitches as indicated in photo 1 above.
Nearby is a garage convenience store , A huge Morrisson’s store and fuel, two forest pubs and Southampton 7 miles away if you must go serious shopping. There is also a fuel station at Ower (Junction 2 M27) that sells LPG.
The fish supper is the only planned event leaving us plenty of scope for self made entertainment ( alternative food available) .Even if the weather turns inclement, we still have eating and socialising in the heated tent.
The now traditional Fish Supper will be delivered to the site on the Saturday early evening. The good news is the fish meal has been kept at 2018 prices for Deffy Folk!! ( Must be the way I talk to him). And the Sunday morning Brunch.
So, fellow members, your are cordially invited to join us for a Rally in the early Autumn in the New Forest, Hampshire .
Rally fee of £10 per night to share between Pancreatic Cancer Research Fund and Prostate Cancer. With other events, we raised just one £800 last year. Brilliant.
