An executive decision has been made and the traditional September Rally will be held in July this year.
We personally have a family commitment late August into September this year and as the only opportunity then clashes with annual checks , to keep the weather on our side, it means pushing the rally towards the end of September.
So , providing the hay crop has been taken , and we don’t get any Texan of Greek snow the 2021 New Forest Rally will be held at Cadnam , from Friday 2, Sat 3rd and Sunday 4th July . Well behaved dogs are also welcome .
The usual format of Friday arrivals which normally involves tea and cake, Saturday more arrivals , and an organised walk Sat afternoon to Stagbury Hill and a Fish and Chip or Pizza supper delivered to the site Saturday evening . There is also chance of a visiting “New Forest Ice Cream ” van, but negotiations are getting under way on that one.
Sunday , we hope to have a Sunday Brunch in time for those with a long way to go can have a substantial meal before having to set off.
Evening entertainment is self organised in the site tent ( hopefully we will not need the heating in July !! ) The general theme is to relax . If it is your choice to sit out side the van read and snooze in the shade , so be it. None of the “events” are compulsory .
We use the weekend to raise funds for Pancreatic Cancer Research by holding a Grand Raffle for which donated prizes are welcome , and the Rally fee of £10 a night . To encourage you, we raised over £900 last year !
