3 D Printing of parts
Members have been kindly offering to make Dethleffs Parts for us , for which I thank you for your consideration for others here. But as you would expect copying another Companies products comes with potential issues .

On the first occasion two years ago , I asked the direct question of Dethleffs senior management in Isny , and they were most insistent that THEY would not support the idea because it will affect their “Intellectual Property Rights “ plus of course there would be no guarantee of the parts integrity as they have no control over the products used to make the parts.
(They have no issues with any one making their own parts , as long as it is not an exact copy and of course will not endorse any such products and they are not produced for sale in numbers. Dethleffs disclaims any liability for the function of these parts or any potential consequential damages caused by these parts)
Hence I made the decision that we would not promote 3D reproduction of “Dethleffs Parts”.
Third party parts are a different kettle of fish as Dethleffs don’t make them .
But , to avoid any confusion and spending my evenings answering questions at to what is or isn’t permitted , my official line is ,
” The Club will not promote 3d printing of “Dethleffs ” parts.”
