I hope this list helps people, but we saw lots of free or donation park ups in scotland and along the north west coast of England, between Silloth and Whitehaven.
The only place we saw that is not motorhome friendly for free parkups was Northumberland.
Also adding petrol and lpg fill up. Not many lpg points in highlands. Didn’t find any in mainland Orkney. Lots of petrol stations.
I would like to mention we never stopped anywhere that stated no overnight parking. Most of the places welcomed it for a donation. The free park ups, we left no trace and left the place cleaner than when we arrived. Picking up day trippers rubbish.
