Two Interesting Dethleffs Projects
Dethleffs are trialling some fascinating concepts at the moment. This one is a motorhome designed by older people. They have also looked at a motorhome designed by women (Femotion). Thanks to Anna Gover a Birmingham University student who is studying in Heidelberg for a year. She has skilfully translated this from the Dethleffs Geman website.
‘Best Ager Motorhome’
As previously reported, after the successful ‘Femotion’ motorhome study comes a further project: The ‘Best Ager Motorhome’ for travellers in the prime of their lives.
‘But when are you in the prime of your life?’ We hear you ask. Certainly that depends on the individual. However it is clear that as you get older your desires and needs change, even if you still feel young and continue to be active. In today’s world this is when you are at the ‘Best Age’.
And because of this special demand Dethleffs is undertaking a special project. The aim is the development of a motorhome that sets new standards in comfort and ergonomics. And we are asking you to work with us. Please fill in the questionnaire and give us your opinions, ideas and helpful suggestion.
For further support we have the help of Prof. Dr. Dr. Pichert form the technical university in Munich. In his research area of household technology he is trying to improve the design of various household appliances. Alongside this he has already examined the practical suitability of several mobile homes. Dethleffs have made a motorhome available to him for three weeks. We are all anxious about the findings! As soon as the analysis is available you will be able to find out more here.
