Attached is a photo of our van on a campsite in Southern France. Last year with our first ever motor home, we went on a trip to Greece via Brindisi and back through Southern France. Our favourite campsite is called Le Tedey.It is set in a sandy pine forest beside a lake called Lacanau.
Go West off the Bordeaux ring road and head for Lacanau Ocean. Le Tedey is 5 kilometres before Lacanau Ocean.
The lake at Le Tedey is shallow, clear and warm with white sandy beaches and it is excellent for families, swimming and wind surfing.
There is a bar on one beach with entertainment and the campsite has all facilities including a super market and hot take away food.
Just a short cycle ride through the forest to Lacanau Ocean is a small but bustling resort for surfers.
