New Technical Area For Members
John Windwood, one of our 'Ask The DOC' experts has started a technical area for members who wish to 'tinker' or mend their Dethleffs. John has helped many members to solve technical problems and I am pleased to welcome his growing resource for members.

Welcome ! Our left hand drive Dethleffs I6842 was imported in 2000 by a previous owner. Like most vans of this period, it had rear light clusters with a reversing light in one and a fog light in the other. What most people do when importing is to just swop the rear light units over so that the fog light is on the offside as per UK law-not much wiring is needed and it looks standard. Unfortunately, Roger the bodger who owned our van just bolted on an ugly extra foglight on the O/S by drilling through the rear bumper/valance moulding. See left....
