2008 Report:
Fantastic German Factory Family Weekend May 2008
We have just returned from a weekend with 30 DOC members and 200 German DOC members at the factory near to the Swiss border. We cycled, walked, danced, drank, ate, boated on Lake Constance, visited the Zeppelin museum, laughed, viewed the factory, laughed, danced, learned the funny actions to the Dethleffs song (yes, there is one!) did I mention drank? The MD of Dethleffs cycled, danced and listened to us. It was not a cheap weekend, and it's a long drive but everyone had a great time. We also saw some very interesting prototypes. I have many photos detailing why Dethleffs are such high-quality vehicles, why they last so well and why Dethleffs is number one in Europe.
Another marvellous thing we learned was how much fun the other Dethleffs Owners are. Picture shows the MD leading the actions to the Dethleffs Song! Oops, actually it's the German Jake The Peg !
2009 Edinburgh Fringe & Tattoo
We are also organising a get-together up near Edinburgh next year for the Fringe and Tattoo. We have found a site where we can join with another organisation and stay for only £5 per van/night !! 2nd week of August 2009.
THIS IS A BRILLIANT FUN WORLD-CLASS FESTIVAL
Any of you who have visited the Fringe will know that hotels are at a premium and you would expect to pay £500 for the weekend just for your room. MEMBERS ONLY.
