We have just returned from the superb 80th birthday ‘bash’ at Dethleffs’ factory in gorgeous Bavaria/Allgau. I am just going through the photos and will be posting an album for everyone to view. Stunning place, great company and superb fun!
We also got a sneak peek at the 2012 models. Caravanners are going to be stunned by the new Tourist range of pop-top caravans. There are also some amazing new caravan and motorhome layouts including the ground-breaking ALPA concept vehicle with twin beds above the cab!!
THIS IS DETHLEFFS’ 80th BIRTHDAY!!!!!!!
Here is a slideshow of photo’s taken by members on the 2009 weekend. Click HERE.
Date: Pentecost weekend Friday 10th to Monday 13th June 2011.
Place: Isny im Allgau in the beautiful ‘Sound of Music’ area of Alpine Germany.
Cost: approx £100-£120 per person (payable to, and heavily subsidised by, Dethleffs). Those that went in 2008, 2009 and 2010 thoroughly enjoyed it.
Either make it part of your European tour or go over specifically, you will dance, laugh, see interesting things, be impressed, be royally entertained, visit great places, eat , tour, cycle or walk, and… meet interesting, fun owners and probably start friendships.
Fantastic German Factory Family Weekend May 2008
We have just returned from a weekend with 30 DOC members and 200 German DOC members at the factory near to the Swiss border. We cycled, walked, danced, drank, ate, boated on Lake Constance, visited the Zeppelin museum, laughed, viewed the factory, laughed, danced, learned the funny actions to the Dethleffs song (yes, there is one!) did I mention drank? The MD of Dethleffs cycled, danced and listened to us. It was not a cheap weekend, and it’s a long drive but everyone had a great time. We also saw some very interesting prototypes. I have many photos detailing why Dethleffs are such high-quality vehicles, why they last so well and why Dethleffs is number one in Europe.
Another marvelous thing we learned was how much fun the other Dethleffs Owners are. Picture shows the MD leading the actions to the Dethleffs Song! Oops, actually it’s the German Jake The Peg !
